About The
Villa Charities
Italian Canadian Immigration Tribute

Villa Charities proudly announces the Villa Charities Italian Canadian Immigrant Tribute project, honouring Italian Canadian immigrants and their families.

For more than a century, hundreds of thousands of Italians have chosen to make Canada their new home, to secure a better life for themselves.

The Italian Canadian community has significantly influenced the social, cultural, and economic fabric of Canada. Italian Canadians are now a successful and important part of Canada’s diverse multicultural identity.

For more than 50 years, Villa Charities has been a leading provider of Italian culture and heritage, and with this new initiative the charitable organization will establish a nationally recognized destination and tribute for Italian heritage.

Located at Toronto’s iconic Columbus Centre on the Villa Charities campus, the installation will feature up to 5,000 plaques inscribed with the names of Italian immigrants who journeyed to Canada to begin a new life. The tribute installation will be surrounded by a bronze casted art piece, as well as a seating area.

By purchasing a name plaque, you can celebrate and honour your family heritage while supporting Villa Charities’ programs and services
